• I recently became the proud owner of an iPad (1st generation sadly), to add to my existing iPhone. It is great!!
• Thomas' baby brother, Daniel Andrew Miège was born on 31st December 2009 at 10:47am.
• I became the proud owner of an iPhone 3G and absolutely love it!! My favourite apps include the TomTom iPhone app.
• I recently enjoyed a Ferrari driving experience. You can see a picture of me driving here (I was told this was David Beckham's previous car).

• I recently completed my Monitored Professional Development Scheme (MPDS) from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and, following a successful panel interview, was elected a Member of the IMechE and recommended for registrattion as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council (UK). • My paper on Active Roll Control of an Experimental Vehicle was awarded the 2005 IMechE Safety Award. The Award is made for "the best paper published by the Institution in the previous year on the subject of the elimination of dangerous dust arising from mining and industrial tunnelling and the removal of rock from the surface or under-ground or any aspect thereof or any other aspect of eliminating danger to health in mechanical engineering and research into matters connected with any such subject". • My paper on Active Roll Control of an Experimental Vehicle was awarded the 2005 IMechE Crompton-Lanchester medal. The medal is "awarded by the Board of the Automobile Division for the best paper or for outstanding service considered to have special influence on the advancement of automobile engineering. This is the premier Automobile Division award". See the IMechE website for further details. I have included a couple of pictures of the medal here.
• Our baby boy, Thomas Victor Miège was born on 6th June 2006 at 3:16am, weighing 8 lbs (3.63 kg).
